Day 1 Arrive Beijing
Welcome to Beijing on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Enjoy the next four nights stay at the Sofitel Wanda Hotel or the Westin Financial Street, Beijing or similar.
Day 2 Beijing
After breakfast your first destination is Tiananmen Square, the centre of Beijing and is the largest square in the world. From the square enter the Forbidden City, the best preserved group of ancient buildings in all of China. This afternoon explore narrow alley ways or Hutongs on rickshaws to experience traditional Chinese life, visit a home and learn how to make dumplings. This evening enjoy a performance of the famous Peking Opera a performance filled with colour, drama incredible costumes and painted faces. (BL)
Day 3 Great Wall - Mutianyu
Today journey to the Great Wall of China the magnificent man made structure built more than 2500 years ago and stretching for more than 6000km. It is one of the most spectacular fortifications of the ancient world. It is said that you can only truly experience the vastness of China and the essence of Chinese spirit when you stand on the Great Wall. This evening is at leisure to experience one of Beijing’s famous restaurants. (BL)
Day 4 Beijing
This morning head out early to the Temple of Heaven to experience the park with the locals as they practice tai chi, singing and calligraphy. The remainder of the day is free to take advantage of Beijing's wonderful shopping opportunities. This evening farewell Beijing with a wonderful Peking Duck dinner.(BD)
Day 5 Depart Beijing
Your tour in Beijing concludes after breakfast and you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.(B)
