Cruise the river at the centre of the world for seven days on Victoria Cruises Yangtze River cruise ship, sail through the spectacular Three Gorges, marvel at the engineering of the 5 stages ship locks and visit the Three Gorges Dam site, explore Yellow Mountain, enjoy a city tour of Nanjing and disembark your crusie in the vibrant city of Shanghai

Day 1 Arrive Chongqing
On arrival at Chongqing airport you will be met by a representative of our company and transferred to the Chongqing Port to join your 6 night Cruise on Victoria Cruises. (Departure time 11 am)

Afternoon shore excursion to Fengdu, visiting either the "Ghost City" on Mingshan Hill, or the new relocation village for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze's rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam.

Day 2 Sailing the Three Gorges
Cruise the river at the centre of the world for the next seven days on Victoria Cruises Yangtze River cruise ship. Likened to a sinuous dragon whose head is Shanghai, and tail is Tibet, The Yangtze River has at its heart the ruggedly spectacular Three Gorges through which you will sail. Morning excursion to Daning River Small Gorges or Shennong Stream. Evening sail through Three Gorges Dam Ship locks.

Day 3 Three Gorges Dam Site/Yichang
Morning visit to the 3 Gorges Dam site. The 3 Gorges construction project is the biggest of its kind and once completed the dam will be the largest in the world. Reboard the ship in Yichang.

Day 4 Wuhan
This afternoon's shore excursion will be to the city Wuhan visiting the Hubei provincial Museum.

Day 5 Arrive Guichi
Full-day shore excursion to Huangshan Yellow Mountain (Jiuhuanshan or "Mountain of the Nine Lotuses" may be substituted if weather or road conditions do not permit a visit to Huangshan.)

Day 6 Arrive Nanjing
Full day tour of Nanjing including Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and a Qing Dynasty style Bazaar surrounding a Confucious Temple; 9:00 pm Leave Nanjing for Shanghai.

Day 7 Arrive Shanghai
Morning disembarkation a representative of Imperial Expeditions will meet you in the lobby to arrange your transfer to Shanghai Airport for your onward journey home.

Please note crusie is also done in reverse 9 days/8 nights departs Shanghai on Sunday.
